Sevastopol International Festival of Arts «War and Peace» combines various genres: military-spiritual and symphonic music, opera and theater, cinema, photography, modern dance, performance art, media art. The main protagonist of the festival is Sevastopol itself. The festival gathers the most spectacular forms of art and unites them in a harmonious whole with the architectural and historical space of the city.
Our city is one of the main centers of tourist and cultural life of Ukraine. We are celebrating the 230th anniversary of the birth of Sevastopol and the Black Sea Fleet. This time, taking off at the peak of the tourist season, is the best time to hold a summer arts festival.
The War and Peace Festival is Ukraine’s largest international summer arts festival. To participate in the festival last year in Sevastopol came more than 500 military musicians, singers, artists, dancers, artists from Algeria, Germany, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, France. The festival was attended by more than 50 thousand Sevastopol residents and guests of the city.
The International Festival of Arts «War and Peace» unites military music culture, opera and drama art, painting. It will be attended by military bands, opera and drama theaters from Germany, Greece, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and France.
The festival will include the International Festival of Military Bands Sevastopol Military Tattoo — the only in Ukraine and the largest international festival of military bands on the Black Sea. This year it is held in Sevastopol for the fourth time. Its program includes performances of the best military musicians from around the world. Sevastopol International Festival of Military Bands Sevastopol Military Tattoo is a march-parade of military bands through the streets of the city, a show of trumpeters and drummers on the embankments and squares, concerts of classical and jazz music in the open air, grand defile on Cape Khrustalny. The festival is known far beyond Ukraine. This is not surprising, because its unique atmosphere is created by a city in love with military music.
