A small mountain village Yablunitsa is a real paradise for those who like to relax away from the dust and bustle of big cities. Here you can truly get close to nature, enjoy the breathtaking beauty of picturesque places and appreciate the beauty of a quiet, relaxing vacation, but, at the same time, spend time interesting and exciting, because Yablunitsa is one of the most famous ski resorts in the country.

Yablunitsa village is located among the Carpathian mountains at an altitude of 960m above sea level not far from another famous landmark of the Carpathians — Yablunitsa Pass, which has become a landmark in historical events more than once. This, along with the beautiful nature and developed infrastructure for skiing and recreation, also attracts both Ukrainian and foreign tourists to the village.

For a long time this village, mentioned in chronicles as a sloboda back in 1686, was called Tatar Pass, because one of the most important historical events is connected with it: several centuries ago the Tatar-Mongolian hordes passed into south-western Europe, leaving the deepest trace in history because of their domination in Russia during the feudal fragmentation. Later the village was named Yablunitsa in honor of the mountain of the same name, from under which flows the Yablunetsky Prutets — a river that stretches through the entire settlement. Despite the history of this village rich in important and sometimes difficult events, until today it has preserved the true Hutsul flavor — the customs and traditions of the indigenous population of the Carpathians are carefully passed down from generation to generation. Thanks to this, spending your vacation in Yablunitsa, every guest can touch the original culture of the Hutsuls.

Among the interesting facts associated with Yablunitsa is one very unusual one — there are no streets in the village, which is the usual method of organizing any settlements from small villages to cities. Territorially, the village is divided not into streets, but into hills (plots), of which there are 11 in total — Voronenko, Grun, Dovgiy, Dil, Mikulinka, Teterinka, etc.

From all sides Yablunitsa is surrounded by majestic Carpathian mountains, and the most famous ones are Chernogora, Hoverla, Petros, Dovbushanka, Khomyak. This is where the picturesque tourist trails to these peaks start. Such a landscape is best disposed to active recreation — no wonder that this small village lost deep in the mountains has become known throughout the country as one of the best climatic and ski resorts. In winter it is visited by lovers of skiing and snowboarding, and in the rest of the year — by all those who want to recover and gain strength surrounded by magnificent nature, which has preserved its pristine purity and beauty. The village has been a part of the Carpathian National Nature Park since its establishment, so it has managed to preserve the purity of forests, water bodies and springs, mountain air, and leave the magnificent natural pictures in their pristine state.

Skiing vacations, snowmobile and horse-drawn carriage rides, traveling along informative paths among ancient and beautiful forests to the highest mountains in the country, health-improving procedures, including treatment with healing waters of local springs — all this awaits the guests of Yablunitsa village. Rest here is a union with nature, which energizes you for a long time, gives you strength and the most pleasant emotions.
