It is one of the most famous climatic and balneo-mud seaside resorts of Ukraine. Today rest in Kirillovka attracts everyone who wants to recover and gain strength during the vacation, forget about their ailments, feel younger and more vigorous. It is a small urban-type village with a population of only about 3.5 thousand people, located in the south of the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine. First of all, speaking about this place, it should be described as one of the best resorts in the country, which is not exaggerated at all. The revitalizing mild climate, therapeutic muds of limans, healing air, sand and waters of Azov beaches — all this speaks for itself!
The history of the village Kirillovka is quite young — it was founded in 1805 as the last village of the Dukhobor community. The Dukhobors led a moral and industrious life, were supporters of the denial of all ceremonialism related to the church and faith, in two words to express their basic idea can be their proverb: «The church is not in the timbers, but in the ribs. Thus, the history of Kirillovka began on a very bright note, although in 1845 the Dukhobors were deported from the settlement they had founded to the Caucasus. After the deportation of its founders, the settlement was populated by peasants from small neighboring villages — this is how its modern history began. By the way, the settlement was named in honor of Kirill, the eldest son of the founder of the Dukhobor movement, Siluyan Kapustin.
Since the middle of the XIX century Kirillovka began to develop as a mud and balneological resort. Most actively these places were built up with boarding houses, rest houses and tourist centers in the middle of XX century. Since 1968. Since 1968 Kirillovka has received the status of a town-type settlement, and by today its resort zone has reached a length of almost 15 km!
Today Kirillovka is a large single resort area, located on the shore of the Azov Sea between Molochny and Utlyukskiy estuaries, as well as on two adjacent spits — Fedotova and Peresypi. Recreation centers, cafes, water slides, markets, disc clubs, camps, wild and equipped beaches, recreation and entertainment centers, private sector, dolphinarium, as well as the largest water park in Ukraine — all this is Kirillovka! Those who came here to rest do not have to be bored — active recreation and water sports, relaxing and encouraging activities, excursions and performances are always at the service of tourists. In total, there are more than 18 children’s health centers and 360 recreation centers for every taste and income!
The health-improving aspect of staying in Kirillovka deserves special attention: here the cardiovascular and central nervous systems are restored and strengthened, the work of the upper respiratory tract is improved, inflammatory processes in joints and muscles and allergic manifestations are reduced. Silt mud estuaries, waters of hydrogen sulfide spring, sand, sea water here treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral nervous system, gynecological diseases and many other ailments.
