Lvivshchina is a region rich in architectural and natural sights, a region rich in Ukrainian traditions and legends, a region through which a large number of tourist routes pass. There are many mysterious caves and mountain lakes unique in their beauty, here the mighty Carpathian Mountains meet with picturesque plains. Lviv region is located in the west of Ukraine, it stretches from west to east for 240 km, and from north to south for 210 km. The region is divided into 20 administrative districts. Lvivshchyna is known as one of the best places of vacation and tourism in Ukraine. In the southwestern part of the region there is the national park «Skolevskie Beskidy». The famous tourist route «Golden Horseshoe» passes through the historical castles of the region, such as Zolochevsky, Olesky, Podgoretsky. And the famous resorts of Morshyn, Truskavets and Skhodnitsa are visited not only from all over Ukraine, but even from Western Europe, Russia and Belarus.

The administrative center of Lviv region is the city of Lviv. This ancient city was founded in 1256. It is famous for its architectural sights, not without reason its central part is included in the Unesco heritage. Speaking about Lvivshchina, we should certainly mention such ancient towns as Zolochev, Zhovkva, Drohobych, etc., where guests and tourists can familiarize themselves with the wonderful cultural monuments of Western Ukraine. Lviv region has many territories and objects of natural reserve fund. These are botanical gardens, monuments of garden and park art, wildlife preserves and protected tracts. The region has good conditions for sports and excursion-tourist recreation, there are numerous bases and sports camps located in picturesque corners of the region.
