Mountain «Politechnik» is located right at the entrance to the town of Slavske. Unlike the trails Menchula, Pogar and Trostyan its slopes are ideal for teaching beginner skiers and vacationing with children. There are no sharp drops, steep and dangerous sections on them. Polytechnic’s slopes are gentle and flat. The height difference here is 150 — 200 meters, the length of the slopes is 600-1000 meters, and the width is 100-150 meters.
The trails on the mountain, of which there are three, are equipped with elevators. The first elevator of the Physico-Mechanical Institute is 1000 meters long rope tow type, the second elevator of the Lviv Polytechnic Institute is 600 meters long also rope tow type, and the third one is 200 meters long multilift.
For skiers who came here without their own ski equipment, there are rental shops, where you can rent any suitable equipment. Skating is taught here by experienced masters of skiing.
Both on the mountain and near it there are various cafes, where in between slopes you can have a rest, having a cup of some hot drink or replenish your strength with some refreshment. The menu is quite varied and abounds with local national cuisine.
If you decide to stay here for more than one day, it is very easy to choose a suitable in price and comfort accommodation here. In Slavskoe there are a lot of inns and hotels, there are cottages. You can also stay in the vicinity of the city in other recreation centers or rent a room, apartment or private house from the locals. You can get to the mountain from the place of accommodation by local vehicles, usually UAZ and GAZ-66 SUVs.
