Festival motto: «I love the Carpathians»
Purpose of the festival: To popularize active recreation among young people, to attract the attention of young people to the problems of ecology of the Carpathian region and not only, to have a good time.
Festival «Slavske Rock» was founded in 2007 by the company «Sports and Cultural Initiatives» and in the first year received the status of international. The festival takes place among the fresh air, in summer, in the sunny Carpathians, gathering all those who care. The festival was created with the active youth in mind and not only.
The music program annually offers music lovers the whole range of possible understanding of the word rock, inviting more or less famous teams and many young bands. Over the years the festival has hosted more than 50 bands from all over the world. In 2008 the «Small Stage» was opened, where young bands and performers have the opportunity to express themselves.
The ecological component is one of the points of the festival program and every year within the framework of this project in the city exhibitions and competitions on ecological themes are held, films are shown, sculptures and symbolic installations are created by artists and ordinary activists.
Every year the guests of the festival had fun to their taste, some of them were making routes through the Carpathian valleys, some of them were swimming in the Opir River, some of them were hooliganizing with friends, and some of them were eager to join the fun and entertaining sports program.
Over the years, festival goers have been entertained by the following:
— Rope amusement park
— Bicycle rides and bike rentals
— Hiking and mushroom and berry walks
— Orienteering
— Collective games (soccer, volleyball, tug-of-war, etc.)
The creative program during the years of the festival was diverse and interesting:
-Worked creative workshops, where those who wished were taught to mold, glue, draw.
— A 10-day international ceramic symposium was held.
-There were exhibitions of young Ukrainian and Polish artists and masters of photography.
-The Carpathian Snapshot sport and entertainment event took place.
-There was glass painting, modeling from plastelin, coloring each other
— Films from the film festival «Open Night» were shown.
