Festival «Trembits call to Synevyr» was founded in 2001. This artistic action is held at the high mountain lake Synevir, which is one of the seven wonders of Ukraine, and is located at an altitude of 989 meters above sea level near the village Synevirskaya Polyana Mezhigorsky district.
The lake is 400 meters long and 250 meters wide. This fabulous lake attracts the general public not only of our region, but also foreign tourists.
The festival is organized to promote the tourist and recreational opportunities of our region and its inhabitants.
The best amateur folklore and professional groups of the region and Ukraine are attracted to participate in the festival, guests from neighboring countries are invited.
As part of the festival, each village council of Mezhgorski district will unfold an exhibition of arts and crafts, and village amateurs, accompanied by treble music, will perform folk songs, kolomiyki, characteristic for their village. There will also be an exhibition and sale of traditional dishes of Transcarpathia.
Such creative events as the festival «Trembits are calling to Sinevir» arouse interest in the search for new folk songs, ancient family rituals, contributing to the revival and popularization of the art of playing and making trembits.
This form of creative competition strengthens love for folk art, contributes to the preservation of spirituality, ethnic identity, and the restoration of moral values of the people.
The festival strengthens the impact on the development of all forms of folk art of the Ukrainian people, on the aesthetic education of the younger generation, contributes to the strengthening of young people’s love for ancient family traditions, for their native land, causes love for the historical heritage of our people.
Within the framework of the regional folklore festival «On Sinevir Trembity Calling» a charity event «Every child — a family!» is organized
Contributions that will be received during the charity event will be used for the development of a network of family-type orphanages and foster families.
We invite all open-hearted people who are not indifferent to the fate of children to take part in the campaign and give a child family warmth and comfort.
Cheerful mood, the spirit of folk festival, a huge number of unusual and interesting guests, the constant presence of live folk music in combination with picturesque mountain landscapes of the Carpathians are constant companions of the festival «To Synevyr Trembity calls».
