In the framework of the Festival of Pysanky Lviv citizens, guests of the city, stars, famous artists and children jointly create more than 2.5 thousand different pysanky. During the month the alleys of Shevchenko Avenue in Lviv will be decorated with more than a thousand pryanoks, more than 50 half-meter pryanoks will be hidden in the institutions, from which the Gallery of Art Pryanoks will be created, and the real pryanok boom will take place during the pryanok master classes.
According to Andriy Sidor, director of the Pysanky Festival, the current Art Pysanky Gallery and various pysanky workshops on Market Square have turned Lviv into a real pysanky capital.
«This is not the first time the Pysanky Festival has been held and every year more and more participants join in decorating the city at Easter time. During the festival, residents and guests of the city, schoolchildren and students of the center of creativity, public and creative organizations, stars — participants of the musical and artistic «Project Ivasyuk» and famous artists will make a lot of fantastic pysanky. The culminating moment is the opening of the Gallery of art pryanoks, where more than fifty meter and half-meter pryanoks will be presented», — added Andriy Sidor.
