Christmas in Lviv is always special and unusual, magical. It is the time when the city is enveloped in the atmosphere of spirituality, traditions, festive events and emotions that will remain in everyone’s heart forever.
The main celebration of Christmas in Lviv traditionally remains City Donut Festival, which takes place on January 7-9 on Market Square. At the Feast, guests will have the opportunity to join long-standing customs, enjoy performances of the best street creches and children’s ensembles, Christmas performances, visit a large festive Christmas Fair. Also at the holiday will work «Pampukhovaya hata», where an incredible number of doughnuts will be presented, the peculiarities of their preparation will be told and the history of this delicious dish will be shared.
During the three days of the Donut Festival the Market Square will be decorated with big stars — traditional symbols of Christmas. They were specially made by Lviv craftsmen. Christmas stars will create a special holiday atmosphere and add charm to the whole action.
Traditionally, the «Lviv Christmas Mail» will be operating, through which everyone will have the opportunity to send original artistic cards with wishes «Merry Christmas!» to any part of the world!
Also during the Donut Festival there will be contests for the best creche, the best hostess, the best donut-eater, the cutest angel and devil.
The City Donut Festival will once again bring a fairy tale to every family. It will be incredibly fun and delicious!
