Every year on the sunny coast of Crimea there is a unique and atmospheric event — Festival «Neighboring World», which brings the most interesting and brightest artists. And this year it will be held for the seventh time! We suggest you to leave dusty and stuffy cities and go to the sea! In 2014, the Festival will be held on the shores of the Black Sea in the legendary and beautiful — the city of Sevastopol, leaving in the memory of vivid impressions of unforgettable three days for a year ahead!
On August 1, 2, 3 the unbelievable will happen: the doors to the «Neighboring World» will open and the whole color of actual culture will appear before you in all its splendor. A sea of music and fantastic art objects, conceptual photo exhibitions and night movie screenings, hot literary readings and theatrical performances, unique handmade fair and acoustic nights, extreme sports, master classes and fire show! The festival «Neighboring WORLD» is an amazing place where all kinds of contemporary art «neighbor»!
The main component of the Festival is the WORLD OF MUSIC with live performances by musical teams in a wide variety of directions and styles. In the Neighboring World performed — Lyapis Trubetskoy, King and Shut, Noize MC, Boombox, Vopli Vidoplyasova, LUMEN, PILOT, KNIAZZ, Tarakany! Gleb Samoilov, GUF, Animal Dzhaz, Sergey Babkin, Sunsay, Valentin Strykalo, Antibodies, Silver Wedding, SLOT, Stigmata, Jane Air, Louna, Tracktor Bowling, Skin Diary (Germany), Alai Oli, Pianoboy (ex-Esthetic Education), Elysium, Kirpichi, Torba na Kruche, 7000$ and many others.
There is a second stage at the Festival — the «Sun» stage. More than 50 bands from different cities of the post-Soviet space perform there every year: Moscow, Kiev, Minsk, St. Petersburg, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Odessa, Sevastopol, Kaliningrad, Brest, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Astrakhan, Ivanovo, Vladivostok, etc.
Also on the Sun Stage is a unique atmospheric event — Acoustic Night and Morning Charge by Skvorts Stepanov.
The WORLD of Art on SM traditionally presents:
— Exhibition of works by artists and photographers;
— Street art, graffiti, modern and contemporary art;
— Theater performances;
— Literary stage and literary slam;
— Night animation program (short films, cartoons);
— Hand-made fair;
The WORLD of Sports and Entertainment can:
— Take a parkour workshop;
— Create your own soccer team and play against the «stars» — headliners of the Main Stage;
— Take part in a paintball or slackline championship;
— daily bike, horseback, surf and kayak rides, beach volleyball and Frisbee competitions, and a combined shooting range.
— Visit the Neighborhood Library.
Due to the rapid development and popularization of the Festival, «Neighboring World» in 2011 was recognized as the best music festival in Ukraine according to the rating «TOP — Fest».
The first «Neighboring World» was held in 2008 and since then has won the hearts of many thousands of neighbors — music lovers, romantics, creative people and just those who like to enjoy the unforgettable atmosphere and relax in the gentle rays of the sun at the sea.
