Obviously, each of us has a photo card in the album, which depicts the beauty of the capital of Crimean winemaking. Yes, yes, it is the capital — so people nicknamed the city of Sudak, forever enclosed in the embrace of the vine. In pre-revolutionary times Sudak was known as a place where the famous French champagne brands Chandon and Clicquot were skillfully forged. In addition, many world-famous winemakers came here to buy up Crimean wine, and then, having equipped the bottles with their overseas labels, to sell the sparkling drink to the Russian nobility at a high price.
Here, in Sudak, was born the idea that it would be good to establish a school of viticulture and winemaking. However, the school itself was also born here. Believe it or not, but people say that a few months before his death, Emperor Alexander the First paid a visit to this rather non-standard institution of higher education and spent hours on the balcony of the school, quietly admiring the mind-boggling picture of the surroundings.
Sudak vineyards and wines simply drove the whole world crazy. Even proud Cossacks, «specializing» 
on the development of the Kuban steppes, appealed to Count Platon Zubov with a request, say, petition, father, before the Empress — maybe she will allow us to get Sudak vines!
All these events are remembered and kept in the memory of generous for the «true» drink lands of the winery «Sudak». Today the state farm-factory, which shares one name with the sunny Crimean town, is a part of the association «Massandra». Vineyards of the Sudak winery embrace not one, but five valleys — Sudak, Ai-Sav, Taraktash, Ai-Vanskaya and Suuksinskaya. Centuries have passed since vines first appeared here. Nowadays, the Sudak farm, which has almost 1,500 hectares of land at its disposal, can boast of such famous indigenous varieties as Aligote, Kokur white, Riesling, Rkacheteli and Aleatica.
The grape bunches of these varieties are as sights of Ukraine as the castles of Kamenets-Podilskyi, the cobblestone streets of Lviv or the golden-headed churches and temples of the Ukrainian capital. They attract foreign and domestic tourists no less, if not more. At all that the winery has a significant prerogative — the museum of the Sudak plant-farm : here you can not only look at the endless string of 
grapevine, but also taste what it lovingly gives to a man for careful attitude to himself. Simply put, all those who have come to look at the sights of Crimea and at Sudak in particular, have a unique opportunity to be convinced that Alexander Blok was right: the truth really lies in the wine.
Do not believe? Well, your right. However, this disagreement indicates only one thing: you have never been to the Wine Museum in your life. If one day you have such an opportunity, you should not miss it. The exhibits of the museum of the Sudak Winery are the history of many millennia and many peoples, starting from the Greek settlements of the V century B.C. and ending with the present. These scatterings of amphorae, craters, kiliks, bowls and cups, neatly placed under the museum glass, unites only one thing, and its name is wine!
The tasting room of the Wine Museum is no less amazing. In just an hour and a half you will be able to drink the «truth» from many glasses offered to you! Well, we must admit that the atmosphere is just right for this: antique motifs, ancient walls, rich paintings on them and barrels, barrels, barrels… Who would have thought that to store the truth you need so many containers!
