Arena Lviv Stadium is one of the newest and most modern stadiums in Europe. Comfortable and beautiful sports facility with developed infrastructure was built especially for the Euro 2012 championship and is designed to serve sports and entertainment events of the highest level and scale.
Arena Lviv hosted 3 matches of the final part of the European Football Championship 2012. The dates were June 9, 13 and 17.
The stadium development concept provides for gradual transformation of the facility into the center of sports, cultural and business life of the city of Lviv.
«Arena Lviv» meets all the requirements of UEFA, which provide for the development of new technologies in construction, information and digital spheres. Many requirements are aimed at improving the comfort and safety of fans’ stay at the match.

For the Euros, the Lviv stadium is equipped with 32,767 seats, of which about 300 are for honored guests in the VIP-zone and about 150 in the skyboxes area. The stadium’s calling card is the visibility from both upper and lower tier seats, as the design of the stands creates the maximum effect of presence on the pitch. All seats are located under a partially transparent cover. After the European Championship, the number of seats increased to 34,915 due to the reduction of the media sector and areas for special equipment for filming the matches of the final part of EURO 2012.
The five-storey administrative building houses the playing area (coaches’ rooms, players’ locker rooms, referees’ and match delegates’ rooms), press center, conference halls, VIP-sector, restaurant, offices of the championship organizers, as well as a lot of commercial space.

Apart from the extremely full visibility, Arena Lviv stadium has another defining feature — architectural. It is the so-called «promenade» between the lower and upper tiers of spectator stands. It is on it that all spectators get to, passing through the turnstile groups. The promenade not only regulates spectator flows. The main number of fast food outlets and public toilets are located on it. By ringing the entire stadium, the promenade provides a convenient space for walking and facilitates orientation at the stadium.
«Arena Lviv» is designed as a «green stadium». Several thousand plants — trees, shrubs and flowers — are planned to be planted on the area around the sports facility. The unusual system of irrigation of the stadium lawn is also oriented to harmonize with the environment: two pools near the stadium collect rainwater for further use.
