International Festival of Theater Art «THEATRE. CHEKHOV. YALTA» is a topical project, keeping up with the times, and a creative symposium of professional theaters, including a competitive show of the best artistic achievements in the field of international theater art.
The Festival program combines the best productions of professional companies from different countries, selected by the Festival’s expert council.
Aims and objectives of the Festival:
— search and promotion of the best plays, director’s and actor’s works, author’s works.
— further development of Russia’s theatrical ties in the international theatrical space.
— attracting the attention of the international theater and cultural community to the historical and cultural heritage of the Chekhov Yalta Theater.
— Preservation of festival traditions at the Chekhov Yalta Theater.
— creative study, international interchange of theatrical artistic and aesthetic ideas in the field of directing, acting, scenography, innovations.
— realization of creative communication between the groups.
— Creation of necessary conditions for realization of creative potential of the festival participants.
— drawing attention to the work of theater groups participating in the festival and their popularization by mass media.
Participants of the Festival:
— professional theater groups of Ukraine, near and far abroad countries, which submitted an application to the organizing committee of the Festival, can take part in the Festival.
— Participation in the Festival is free of charge.
— the number of participants in a team is not limited.
