Welcome to you is «Chardonnay» — the first Uzhgorod tasting room. Our wine cellar is located in the very center of the ancient city — near the unique medieval castle. Legends passed down from generation to generation say that in ancient times Uzhgorod nobles gathered in this cellar and had friendly conversations with foreign ambassadors over a glass of good wine. They also say that the cellar is connected by underground passages with Uzhgorod castle. Its owners, the counts of Druget, often used them when visiting the wine cellars.
In 2007, thanks to the efforts of enthusiasts of the Association of Private Winegrowers and Winemakers of Transcarpathia, this wine cellar got a second life. Therefore, now only here, in tasting room «Chardonnay», in one place the best Transcarpathian wines and brandies are collected. Both legendary ones, like «Rosa Zakarpattya», and exclusive varieties, which you can’t taste anywhere else, are presented to the connoisseurs of the divine drink.
