«Skolevskie Beskid» is a natural repository of Ukraine’s natural riches.
Ukrainian Carpathians are one of the main decorations of Ukraine. First of all, each of them will be able to visit Tustan Reserve Territory, known as the site of the Cro-Magnon and Thracian sites and the location of the fortress built by the first Slavs. The territory of «Tustan» has become a place for ethno-festivals and historical reconstructions, where true collectors of Ukrainian spiritual treasures gather.
Secondly, it is here, on the territory of «Skolevskie Beskid» formed a nice waterfall on the river Kamenka, the right tributary of the Opira. In the third place, everyone who is on vacation in the Carpathians will be able to visit the Crane Lake, which, in addition to fantastic views and rejuvenating water procedures, allows guests to admire the unique species of wetland vegetation. A peat bog of sphagnum mosses was formed on the lake, which served as a dressing material for primitive people. Here, on the territory of the «Skolevskie Beskidy», there is also a tract of land called «Tisovets», known to all adepts of active recreation — skiers, snowboarders, fans of snow tubing, cross-country skiing, biathlon and athletes who are engaged in ski jumping. The base is elevated 750 meters above the level of the Baltic Sea, which allows snow to stay here for 2 months longer than in the valley. The Tisovets tract is 32 kilometers away from Skole and is one of the attractions of Ukraine, highly valued among professional athletes.
Besides, 11 hiking routes of different difficulty level are marked for the park guests — to Gurkalo waterfall, the valley of Kamenka river, along «Buchina», to Mt. Lopata, to Mt. Parashka and to Zhuravlinoe lake. Some of them can be made by car, some of them — on horses, which will be shared with travelers by the owners of local «green estates». The peculiarity of such a trip is the guard of honor provided by the Carpathians to their guests — spruce-fir forests and areas of untouched alpine meadows, saturating the air with oxygen, the smell of freshness and freedom.
