The aim of this song project is to develop and popularize modern author’s song by expanding and diversifying the means of its interpretation.
The conditions of Festival «DIKIYI MED» do not limit the performers to the traditional purely acoustic accompaniment, so rock bands will demonstrate their own musical works together with bards and acoustic groups. Acoustic and electronic music will be evaluated separately.
The winners are determined by the contestants together with the alternative jury of the festival. The selection of participants on the basis of preliminary auditions is a guarantee of the proper artistic level of the festival works.
The concept of the festival is aimed at popularizing the creativity of gifted authors-performers and attracting young people to songwriting in every genre available. This will certainly enrich Ukrainian songwriting with author’s works and increase the number of fans of this genre.
Information about the best songs discovered on the concert stage of the festival will be disseminated through the media and in post-festival activities (TV and radio programs, articles, materials on the Internet, CDs and DVDs).
In general, the whole festival process unfolds around the author’s song, there is mutual enrichment of different song genres and musical directions.
The town of Skole is not accidentally chosen as a place for the festival. This unique picturesque region, as it is known, has suffered a devastating flood and needs help to preserve the ecology and investment in the development of resort infrastructure. Holding the festival in this area will certainly draw the attention of the general public to the pressing problems of the region.
To promote the tourist and resort attractiveness of the picturesque Carpathian region, a festival tent camp for traveling bikers (motorcycle clubs: Kiev, Lvov, other regions of Ukraine), who came on vacation in the Carpathians.
During the festival there will be exhibitions and sales of products of folk artisans and books of Ukrainian publishers, master classes, etc.. At the end of concert programs — forest Ukrainian disco.
