Looking at the bays of New World fenced by rocky mountains-giants with clear waters, quietly splashing in rhythm with the breath of the sea, one can’t help thinking that this is probably how the earthly paradise should look like. The picturesque seascapes, for the sake of which every year tourists from all over Ukraine and abroad come to Novy Svet.
Green, Blue and Blue Bays of the coast of Novy Svet are the most beautiful places, unique natural attractions of Crimea, which can be appreciated only by visiting here and swimming in the emerald, blue or blue tender waters of the Black Sea.
As you can guess, the bays of the New World got their names because of the shades of water, which she gives to the shale rocks lining the bottom. But they have something in common — crystal clarity, which today can boast not many tourist beaches. Otherwise, each of them has its own history.
The green bay, on the shore of which the village is spread out, is a favorite place for tourists who prefer family rest. From the east above it proudly rises Mount Sokol — the largest coral reef in Europe with a height of almost 500 meters, and from the west the bay is limited by the sharp peak Koba-Kaya, which is sharply pointed upward, on which passes the famous Golitsynskaja-tropa. The depth of water in the bay increases very smoothly, and there are very few jellyfish. It is in Green Bay that families with children and most visitors to New World prefer to relax and swim.
To the west of Green Bay is Blue or Robber Bay. From the east it is limited by the mountain Koba-Kaya, and from the west by the «ancient dragon» — Cape Kapchik. The shore of the Blue Bay is a haphazard cluster of massive rocks, and the huge depth begins immediately, so few tourists dare to swim here. This bay has a legendary history. In the old days, pirates moored their boats and ships here — the isolation of the bay from the wide view made it a secluded place. Hence its second name — Robber’s Bay. Pirates hid their treasures in the Blue Bay and Cape Kapchik. A beautiful panorama of the Blue Bay can be seen from the Golitsynsky trail around Koba-Koya Mountain and from Cape Kapchik.
West of Blue Bay is probably the most famous — Blue Bay. This paradise corner of the New World coast is famous not only for its clear, crystal clear waters, beautiful beach and amazing landscape: if you look from the shore, on the left you can see a giant lizard — Cape Kapchik, and on the right a huge rhinoceros — the mountain Karaul-Oba, together they create a fantastic picture. The fame of this bay was brought by Nicholas II, who during his visit to Novyj-svet in 1912 wished to bathe and rest here. Since then, the bay and the beach are more often called Tsarskiye. Preference to rest in Tsarskaya Bay is given more often to young couples, it is a romantic and beautiful place.
In the Green, Blue and Blue bays can not only swim and bask under the rays of warm sunshine. Here you can ride on all kinds of water transport, also under the guidance of experienced instructors are exciting excursions into the underwater world — diving. All those who come to rest in Novy Svet find something to their liking.
