The valley, in which the village Pilipets is located at an altitude of about seven hundred meters above sea level, is surrounded by several mountains — Velikiy Verkh, Gemba, Zhid Magura. On the slopes of these mountains there are ski slopes of varying degrees of difficulty and length (from nine hundred meters to three kilometers), as well as countless freeride trails.

The snow on the slopes is regularly leveled by tractors. The slopes are equipped with six elevators (5 rope tow elevators and 1 chairlift). The weather in winter is mostly mild (-5 — 7°C) and snowy. The snow falls in December and stays until the end of March and sometimes until mid-April.
