Traditionally, every year, every last Sunday of May, on our hospitable Bukovina, in Putil the traditional holiday «Exit to Polonina» is held.
Guests of our region will be able to visit exhibitions of decorative and applied fine and applied arts of Putil region and buy interesting products and simply admire the incredibly beautiful Carpathian landscapes, enjoy the clean mountain air, for one day plunge into the world of Bukovyna Hutsulshchyna.
Only here, high in the mountains you will hear the playing of folk musicians on drymbas and whistles. Here masters will offer you stitched with colored morocco with copper and brass drops and buttons, decorated with colored woolen thread keptari (sleeveless shirt), embroidered with threads and beaded shirts, hats decorated with ornaments. Hutsulschina is a famous region of masters of wood carving, burning and inlaying. During the holiday «Exit to Polonina» you will see an exhibition and sale of various products made of wood — wooden dishes, wooden and wicker furniture, various souvenirs. Traditionally, Hutsuls produce pottery (tiles, dishes), as well as blankets made of sheep’s wool.
The tourist routes of Putilshchina will demonstrate the customs and traditions of the region, the beauty and grandeur of the mountains, the original culture. Tourists have the opportunity to see a Hutsul wedding. By the way, excursion routes are not expensive, for example, in April, a horseback riding excursion to the mountains for almost the whole day will cost a group of tourists in 200-400 UAH.

These products will be available for purchase at the exhibition and sale. During the festival you will be able to taste traditional Hutsul dishes: banush with mushrooms, banush with brynza, guslyanka, etc… The main part of the holiday will be held at the stadium «Karpaty».
