Today in Ukraine there are a total of 40 national nature parks, which protect unique natural landscapes, and three of them are located in Chernivtsi region. The youngest in this trio is Cheremoshsky National Nature Park — it is here that nature has been preserved in its pristine beauty in the best way, which attracts all lovers of green tourism to the park.
National Nature Park «Cheremoshsky» was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine on December 11, 2009. in the territory of Putilshchyna to preserve the purity and diversity of local nature, as well as to protect its inhabitants, among which there are many red-listed species. The total area of the park amounted to 7.1 thousand hectares, and more than 5 thousand invertebrates and more than 120 species of vertebrate animals, as well as 44 species of rare plants were under state care.
The Cheremoshsky Park’s protected animal species include deer, wild boar, trout and many others. To restore the population of endangered animals in the park, natural natural conditions are created, but at the same time, work is being done to protect them from predators, to create feeding and salt marshes. These efforts have already yielded results — since 2009 the number of wild animals in the park has increased many times. In order to protect the invaluable fauna, which includes relict plants, protected glades with medicinal and rare plant species are created in the park. It is also noteworthy that hives with bees are brought to such meadows during the season and ecologically pure honey is extracted. Many such protected nature corners, where nature can be preserved in its pristine purity, are the main advantage of the Cheremoshsky National Nature Park.
Today there is practically no tourist infrastructure in Cheremoshsky Park, thanks to which you can enjoy the most unspoiled nature while traveling along ecological trails. But there are plenty of interesting natural objects and attractions — such a wonderful combination attracts tourists from all corners of the country and beyond. Among the attractions of the park are the natural monument «White Stream», which is a slope where karst springs come to the surface, the beautiful mountain range Black Dol, the rivers Sarata and Perkalaba, whose crystal clear waters are inhabited by trout, three mineral springs, access to which is open to all comers (two of them were studied in Soviet times).
