
Every year the small town of Vinogradiv turns into a real center of the whole Transcarpathian region, where winegrowers and winemakers, as well as tourists, who want to plunge into the atmosphere of a fun and interesting festival, come from all over the region and abroad.
The festival of winegrowers and winemakers «Ugochanska Vine» is a real holiday dedicated to Transcarpathian wine. The festival was held for the first time in 2003 and since then winemakers, winegrowers and wine lovers come here every year to compete in the skill of wine making, to enjoy the gifts of Vinogradivshchyna, hospitable and cheerful atmosphere of the Transcarpathian festival.
Every year Festival «Ugochanskaya Vine» is visited by guests from different districts of Transcarpathia, neighboring regions and countries such as Romania, the border with which is located just a few kilometers from Vinogradiv, as well as from Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and other countries.
Among the goals of the Ugochanskaya Vine Festival are to establish intercultural ties, support local customs and traditions, restore viticulture traditions and, of course, spread the culture of wine drinking.

The program of the festival is activities and entertainment for every taste. All participants of the festival can not only taste all kinds of wines made by the best winemakers, as well as try national dishes, but also get acquainted with the culture and life of the local population, appreciate the ethnic identity of the area through folk art products presented at the exhibitions. Also during the festival various contests are held among its guests, and even more festive atmosphere is given by theatrical shows and concert programs with the participation of local and visiting art groups.
One of the most interesting events of the Ugochanska Vine Festival is the Rural Courtyards exhibition, which takes place in the famous sightseeing place of Transcarpathia — Pereni Park near the palace of the same name and introduces guests to the symbols and history of the district’s villages, local customs and traditions, and works of folk craftsmen.
Viticulture and winemaking are an important part of the history of attractions of Ukraine — the town of Vinogradiv, which is considered to be the birthplace of Transcarpathian winemaking.
