Langeron Beach is the closest to the city center. Once there was a dacha here with the French name «Belle-vue», which means «beautiful view». Of course, the sea, good climatic conditions, a large number of greenery on the slopes, convenient descent, proximity to the city center to some extent justified this name. But let’s try to imagine the picture of pre-revolutionary Lanzheron. An old guidebook will help us: «Unfortunately, the current neglect of the Langeron and the crowding of buildings, which could have been more conveniently located on a large space, deprive this area of the importance it should have».
Let us compare this «beautiful view» with today’s beach. Its length is 1077 meters, width together with the green zone (we are talking about the beach territory only) — 250 meters, width of the sandy strip — 35-40 meters. The total area of the beach is 355 OOO square meters.
The beach «Lanjeron» is well equipped. For children there are amusement grounds with merry-go-rounds, swings, boats. There are carousels and swings for adults. Recently there have appeared slot machines, electronic rides and shooting galleries.
Langeron is one of the most sporty beaches. Young people have the opportunity to freely engage in sports, without causing inconvenience to vacationers. In the sports town of the beach there are volleyball and basketball courts, soccer field. The beach has entertainment for the youngest ones as well
On the beach — a large, modernly equipped boat dock with a boathouse. It works from 5-6 o’clock in the morning, so fishing fans can use boats for morning fishing. And for recreation on the water there are water bikes.
The beach is adjoined by a large green area terraced down to the sea. On specially created lawns in the shade of trees on the slopes there are always a large number of people relaxing.
Catering and trade workers also take care of the vacationers. Near the beach there is a restaurant «Grotto», cafes, many different kiosks, shashlykas.
Sea air and the sun have a beneficial effect on people. Beautiful climatic conditions promote healing, increase the tone, harden the body. However, you should use the benefits of the sea carefully, under the supervision of a doctor. Near the beach is the famous Lermontovsky resort, which has a water treatment center, mud treatment center, various procedural complexes, where you can be treated on courses. The resort is famous for oxygen, carbon dioxide, radon, combined 32 water procedures.
Langeron, as well as other beaches, continues to develop, the recreation conditions of workers are improving every year, the number of green spaces is increasing. Today the whole area near the beach is almost completely transformed into a park with alleys, plenty of shrubs, green lawns, flowerbeds.
The beach is conveniently located. Just 20-25 minutes walk from the city center along the shady streets, alleys of the Central park of culture and recreation named after T.H. Shevchenko — and you are by the sea. It is easy to get here by public transportation.
On the beach there is a pier for local boats. Modern comfortable motorboats of local sea lines will take you to the beach from the sea terminal or from any resort area in a very short time.
