The annual Body Art Carnival in Odessa.
The biggest event in the world of body art in the post-Soviet space is the annual Carnival of Body Art held in Odessa, Ukraine. Events from this carnival are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for creating the longest live painting in the world — 250 meters of painting consisting of painted people.
The carnival is held annually on May 1 and 2. It is attended by a huge number of body art artists and models. Artists, models and spectators come from different cities of Ukraine, Russia and other countries.
The whole event takes place right on the street — artists and models break in pairs and start painting on the signal of festive fireworks. The whole process of creating body art drawings takes place directly in front of spectators who watch the process. Numerous photographers take pictures of the process.
After the completion of the body-art drawing a general photo session is held.
The final event of the Carnival is the determination and awarding of the winners in the night club «Amsterdam».
