Today Odessa hosts the most spectacular action of the traditional International gathering of bikers — «Goblin-show», which gathered hundreds of participants and their «iron horses».
Moto-festivals, held in Odessa for more than ten years, include performances of rock bands, motorcycle contests, sports competitions, and just an opportunity to communicate with each other colorful adherents of colorful lifestyle. Exactly the way of life — because the passion for motorcycling is more than just a sport, just as a motorcycle for a real biker is something much more significant than just a vehicle, say the participants themselves.
The first International Motorcycle Tourist Rally (aka «GOBLIN SHOW») was held in Odessa in 1999. Its organizer and inspirer, as well as in subsequent festivals, was Andrei Fedorko («Goblin»). Then gathered six dozen motorcyclists from Ukraine and Moldova, and lasted only two days (now within a week). A year — two years later, the number of participants and the geography of the meeting increased: Russians, Belarusians, Poles joined.
And in 2002 — and like-minded people from England, Sweden, Germany, Austria. Then «pulled up» and representatives of other European countries …
How many participants are going to Odessa, can not accurately say and the organizers themselves. One and a half thousand people are declared, but, according to Andrey Fedorko, «one number is registered, but in reality, the festival program involves many more cars. Motorcycle enthusiasts join right on the road and directly in Odessa«.
For several years already «base» of bikers for the time of the traditional meeting becomes the stadium of JSC «Odeskabel». From here starts and indispensable parade, without which no «Goblin-show» can do without. The impressive column arouses the public’s interest, questions, and, very possibly, the desire to turn from a spectator, admiring this spectacle, into its participant, riding a charismatic «iron horse».
