In June 2005, in order to popularize the international tourist brand «Olvia» and attract tourists and holidaymakers to the unique natural-historical monument of culture in the open air, by the decision of the Governor of the Nikolaev region, was established the annual Festival of author’s song and tourist recreation «Olvia».strong>festival of author’s song and tourist recreation «Olvia», which takes place on the territory of the National Historical and Archaeological Reserve «Olvia», located in the village of Parutino, Ochakovskiy Ochakovskiy region. Parutino, Ochakovsky district, Nikolaev region.
Every year the number of spectators increases (about 1000 people in 2005 and about 3000 people in 2009) and the geography of participants expands. The festival was attended by authors-performers and groups from Ukraine, Russia and the USA.
During the festival there is a sailing regatta, sports competitions, wine tastings and products of the festival sponsors, exhibitions of artists’ works and folk art products, excursions to the reserve «Olvia». In 2006, in addition to the traditional program of the festival for the first time there was held a beauty contest «Olvian Aphrodite», which became an annual event.
The program of the festival:
— Excursions to the National Historical and Archaeological Reserve «Olbia»;
— Bicycle race Nikolaev — Parutino. The organizer of the bike race is bikerway.com, a bicycle portal of Nikolaev;
— Intellectual games, training on economics and finance;
— Sports competitions: sailing regatta, Frisbee championship, kayak competitions, off-road cycling, archery, jumper competitions;
— Tasting of food products of the best commodity producers of Ukraine;
— Exhibition and sale of handicrafts;
— Exhibition of artists’ works;
— Contests for spectators;
— Festival of Greek culture «Muses of Olbia»;
— Evening gala concert of author’s songs and acoustic music;
— Theatrical performance «Poseidon’s Day» — a cheerful entertainment show with music, theatricalization, games, swimming and pleasant surprises;
— Beauty contest «Olvian Aphrodite»;
— Night dance program «Balkan disco».
Leading editions and TV channels of Ukraine and Nikolaev are invited to the festivals as press. The reports from the festival were published on all-Ukrainian TV channels «Inter», ICTV, Channel 5, «STB», as well as on local TV channels «Mart», «Saturn», «Mars-TV», «NIS-TV» and Regional TV. NKTV TV channel filmed and showed videos about the festival.
