Despite its status, the village of Koblevo in Odessa region is well known to every summer vacationer. First of all, this village is located on the shore of the Black Sea. During the Soviet Union several departmental resorts were built here, so the fame of local discos spread far beyond the native Berezansky district. Secondly, all Koblevo is surrounded by vineyards, the production of which goes to satisfy the capacity of the winery with the same name. Thirdly, there is a water park on the territory of this settlement. Naturally — with the name «Koblevo»!
In the fourth, in 2010, a nice village in the Odessa region acquired a small movie and concert complex. Its name is «Millennium Hall». So now Koblevo pretends to organize events of the level of the festival in Jurmala, competition in San Remo or biennale, of those that take place on the famous island floating in the Venetian lagoon.
One of such events, which got a residence in the new Millennium building, was the Festival of Song and Humor. It was initiated by the TV channel «First National», formerly UT-1. At that time the general director of «First National» was Yegor Benkendorf, who personally gave the idea of this kind of festival and chose Koblevo among dozens of other domestic settlements located on the Black Sea coast. Naturally, First National got the priority right to broadcast all the acts of the festival, which allowed it to take its place among the top ten leaders of national television broadcasting.
So, in 2011 was organized the first Festival of Song and Humor. The producers were Egor Benkendorf himself and Vlad Baginsky, a well-known cultural figure in Ukraine, a member of the jury of a dozen music competitions and the «guardian» of Alexei Matias. Olga Sumska with her actor husband Vitaly Borisyuk and Anyuta Slavskaya with Timur Miroshnichenko are invited as presenters.
The specificity of the Song and Humor Festival is the selection of performing artists. It invites the most honored, but little demanded by the people, Ukrainian and Russian artists. For example, none of the festivals held in Koblevo could do without the performances of Ivo Bobul, Mykola Gnatiuk, the Belonozhko family and Natalia Buchinskaya. Even Willi Tokarev came to the very first Festival. The young generation is represented at the concerts in Koblevo by Vlad Baginsky’s pupils and participants of a number of projects to identify various talents among the population. For example, Alexei Matias, Zlata Ognevich, Angelia, Lisa Vassabi and other artists. Vocalists’ performances are «diluted» with favorite humorists of the First National and KVN players of the second echelon.
For those who plan to visit the Black Sea coast in the period from the end of June — early July, we inform you that they will be able to become spectators of the concert and participants of the TV shootings of the First National. Thanks to the Festival about holiday in Koblevo will be recognized by more and more people, turning this village into a Ukrainian Jurmala, Sopot or Venice!
