The Truskavets International Film Festival «Golden Pectoral» has been held annually since 2010 in the town of Truskavets. The unchanged venue of the festival is the hotel complex «SPA Geneva» of the Royal Hotels & SPA Resorts chain, which for the third year in a row hospitably opens its doors to the guests of the festival.
The goal of the organizers of the film festival are:
— discovery and popularization to the Ukrainian audience of the best samples of quality world and domestic film productions;
— popularization of the western region of Ukraine, in particular Truskavets, as a health center and a pearl of historical and cultural heritage of our country;
— promoting the development of documentary film production (holding script contests, master classes, organizing meetings of documentary producers and directors)
— promoting the formation of the Western Ukrainian school of cinema.
The current festival has chosen the direction of documentary and feature films, which are based on real events. Within the framework of the festival there will be presented two directions of the program formation: for professionals (competitive films) and for guests and residents of the resort Truskavets. The first program direction is professional. It will contribute to the formation of the international image of the festival, attracting producers, directors, actors, film students and the press. The second direction is of an entertaining nature. It will be of interest to ordinary viewers who want not only to relax, but also to get intellectual and aesthetic pleasure from watching films. The festival program is represented by samples of Ukrainian, Polish, Serbian, Russian, Belarusian, Baltic, Czech, Romanian, Moldovan, Bulgarian, Spanish and German cinema.

True.TV — television documentaries and feature films;
True.Film — documentary films and motion pictures;
True.Short — short documentaries and feature films.
The winner of the current film festival, in addition to the Golden Pectoral award, will also receive a $5,000 cash prize. In addition, each category determines its own winner, receives an award statuette and prizes from the sponsors of the film festival. Since 2012 the film festival has started a special event — a competition of scripts dedicated to the Western region (history, locality, modernity). Truskavets was not chosen as the venue of the Golden Pectoral for nothing. The location of the festival (the resort town of Truskavec) fully corresponds to one of the successful festival models (Karlovy Vary, Cannes, San Sebastian, Kinotavr, etc…) and allows to qualitatively distinguish this event from a number of existing festival projects in Ukraine.
