Yusupov Palace amid a green oasis

In Koreiz, 10 kilometers from Yalta, the elegant Yusupov Palace is located.

Here you can enjoy the harmony born by the creative talent of the Russian architect I. P. Krasnov palace and park complex, built for one of the most famous aristocratic dynasties of Russia — the Yusupovs.

The palace was built in the Neo-Romanesque style with the use of Italian Renaissance elements. Entrances to the building, staircases and arches are decorated with sculptures of lions and characters from Greek mythology.

The palace is surrounded on all sides by relic trees and miniature swimming pools.

The Palace Park, a monument of landscape architecture, the brainchild of the famous gardener Karl Kebach, is spread over an area of 16.5 hectares. It contains more than 200 species of ornamental trees and shrubs. The summer heat is brightened up by the coolness of the palace’s numerous fountains fed by mountain streams. The statues of lions that flood the entire park are remarkable.

The combination of sea and mountain air, filled with the aromas of peach orchard and evergreen laurel, fan palm, plane trees and roses, gives a unique opportunity to restore your strength and health.

Prince Felix Yusupov, Count Sumarkov-Elston, was Governor-General of Moscow, and his son, Felix Yusupov the Younger, went down in history as an active participant in the assassination attempt on Grigory Rasputin.

In the fall of 1912, the engagement of Felix Yusupov Jr. to Grand Duchess Irina Alexandrovna, niece of Tsar Nicholas II, took place in the palace.

In 1945, during the Yalta Conference of the heads of the three allied powers in the fight against German fascism, the Yusupov Palace was the residence of the Soviet delegation headed by Stalin.

Today it is one of the most attractive places to relax in the peace and coolness of a luxurious park on the picturesque slopes of the Crimean Mountains. For many years Yusupovsky palace and park complex was reserved. Not everyone could relax and admire the real green paradise, where about 7.5 thousand specimens of species and forms of woody ornamental plants grow.

Nowadays the palace is a fashionable hotel. It is ready to receive all those who are accustomed to comfort and service at the VIP level. Magnificent views from the windows and attics of fashionable rooms allow guests to feel themselves a part of the majestic nature of Krym.
