expositions of the Alushta Museum of Local Lore In 1966 in the building of the Alushta City Party Committee opened a public historical-revolutionary museum, on the basis of the collections of which in 1971 was created the exposition of the Alushta Museum of Local Lore, a department of the Crimean Museum of Local Lore. It is located in a building built around 1910-1912. After a complete re-exposition in 1987 the department «Alushta Socialist» of the Alushta Local History Museum was opened.

In its collection — archeological collections (including from the race-II shock of the medieval settlement Partenit), numismatic and ethnographic material, personal belongings of participants of the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars, veterans of the Party, labor heroes, ancient jugs and amphorae found during the excavations of Alushta figures of science and culture, rare and unique documents and photographs on the history of the city, evidence of the development of industry and agriculture, resort construction in the Alushta area. In total, the museum has more than 4 thousand exhibits.

The materials about fighters for the Soviet power, participants of the Civil War are interesting. Exhibits tell about the development of industry, agriculture, resort construction in the pre-war years. The exposition reflects the history of Alushta for the last seven decades.

It reflects the selfless struggle of city residents, soldiers of the army and navy, people’s avengers of Alushta partisan detachment against fascist invaders in 1941-1944. A special section is dedicated to the participants of the liberation of the city on April 15, 1944 exposition of a separate hall of paper productsThere are also materials about the Heroes of the Soviet Union S. P. Bednenko, V. F. Golubkov, S. M. Mashanin, N. G. Saranchev, V. 3. Strokov, whose life is connected with Alushta.

The exposition familiarizes with the post-war development, the present day of Alushta. Here are samples of products of industrial enterprises, collective and state farms, documents of the leading collectives and Heroes of Socialist Labor. The themes of «Alushta Resort» and international relations with the twinned towns of Enekoski (Finland), Capri (Italy), Cassis (France) are widely represented.
