Zaroslyak ski resort


Location: |13.5 km to the east of Vorokhta village. Vorokhta. Hoverla, Yaremche district.
How to Get There: From Vorokhta by hired or own vehicle drive 7.5 km to the south-east along the regional highway P24 towards Verkhovyna, then turn right and drive another 12 km to the base "Zaroslyak". You can reach Vorokhta by shuttle buses from Ivano-Frankivsk or by electric train from Ivano-Frankivsk to Rakhiv. You can also go by your own transport - 80 km south along the national highway N-09 "Ivano-Frankivsk-Rakhiv-Mukachevo" through the town Jaremche to the village of Tatariv. Tatarov, where you will need to turn left at the sign and drive another 7 km along the regional road R-24 "Tatarov - Kosov - Kolomyja" to the village of Tatarov. Vorohta.

The educational and sports complex «Zaroslyak» is located on the slopes of the highest mountain in Ukraine Hoverla. Its slopes, where the complex is located, are part of the national park. And the complex itself is considered the highest in Ukraine. The distance from it to the nearest settlement is 18 kilometers.

The ski slope here is one and its sloping descent is very suitable for training beginners. The length of the piste is only 250 meters and it is serviced by a rope tow elevator. There is also a rental shop where you can rent the necessary equipment. However, there is something to do here for professionals and extreme sports enthusiasts. The complex has a 12-meter ski jump, and the slopes around the base are a real paradise for freeriders.

«Zaroslyak» in addition to skiing entertainment can offer its visitors various excursions, horseback riding in the mountains, and also here starts the most difficult route for climbing to the top of Hoverla.
