The lake "Bukovyna Eye" is located 50 km away from the village of Putila and 1 km east of the village of Nizhny Yalovets at an altitude of 1028 above sea level.
The place of the source of the river is considered to be a stream formed on the mountain slopes of the Bukovina Carpathians near the village of Ploskaya.
The Cheremosh flows through the territory of Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions, through those places that are designated as historical and geographical regions - Hutsulshchyna and Bukovyna, respectively. The length of the Cheremosh itself is 80 km.
