Berdyansk is considered one of the most beautiful fountains. Fountain located in front of the Pushkin Monument in the square of the same name» />Berdyansk is considered to be one of the nicest and most hospitable cities in Zaporizhzhya region. It looks favorably against the background of its colleagues — Melitopol, Tokmak and Zaporizhzhya itself, due to its location on the shore of the Azov Sea and a special «cultural field» formed in the city since its foundation. Proof of this is the presence in the city of a luxurious castle in the Norman style, given for eternal use to the Pedagogical University, multifaceted resort economy and fifty monuments of various contents.
Monuments Berdyansk — this is a special topic! Each mayor considered it his duty to install in his subordinate settlement a couple or three new sculptures. For monumentality in Berdyansk never chased.

It is installed in a small square with the same name, which is one of the final fragments of Lenin Avenue. Whether Pushkin was in Berdyansk is unknown. It is made of black-matt basalt. The author of «Eugene Onegin,» leaning carelessly on the column, looks off into the distance. In his right hand the coolest Russian poet holds a scroll with the next poem. The sculpture is mounted on a deliberately simple pedestal — a parallelepiped of pale gray granite. Around there are vases for flowers and benches with forged legs. Such benches once stood on the Moika, opposite the poet’s apartment in St. Petersburg.
The memorial of the Russian troubadour took a worthy place in the list of other attractions of Berdyansk. It became one of the must-see items on the global three-hour tour «By the Monuments of Berdyansk». Many of those who came on vacation in the Azov region, consider this monument to Pushkin the best of those that have survived today in the CIS.
