The most famous among the Solotva lakes is Kunigunda, named so in honor of the Hungarian queen who became the wife of the Kiev prince Yaropolk and according to legend once stayed here. The water in the lake is very salty (200 grams per 1 liter) and has a high density, which makes bathing feel weightless. The waters of Kunigunda are rich in bromine, caesium, rubidium, fluoride ions, which creates a favorable effect on the body. Bathing in the lake has a beneficial effect on general well-being, helps to treat diseases of the nervous system, pleurisy, sciatica, skin diseases, arthritis, spinal diseases, psoriasis and many other diseases, reduces pain in rheumatism.
The bottom and shores of the lake are covered with therapeutic mud of black color.
