Surrounded by a slender beech forest in the Lower Grabovishche tract, near the village of Chinadievo, the Sinyavka River drops its waters from the heights. The picturesque picture, although hidden in the thick of the forest, did not go unnoticed. Today, the waterfall with the funny name Skakalo has become one of the attractions of Chinadievo and is visited by all connoisseurs of the beauty and exuberant imagination of nature.
The Skakalo Waterfall is located 3.5 km from Chinadievo and only 150 meters from the tourist base «Vodograi», which serves as a landmark for tourists wishing to see the sight.
Taking a short walk through the beech forest, characterized by the slenderness and height of the trees — there is no other such in all of Ukraine, admiring its beauty and enjoying the fragrant air, tourists discover an even more memorable and amazing treasure. From a height of seven meters, jumping from stone to stone, the waters of the river Sinyavka fall, foaming and making noise. Once in this place volcanic rocks came to the surface, forming rocky cliffs and blocking the way of a small mountain stream, so there appeared in the picturesque forest its own the attraction Chinadievo. The small height of the waterfall is compensated by its beauty and peculiarity: the water flow, dividing, forms a cascade of streams coming off the cliff and as if jumping down several steps. This peculiarity, playfulness of the waterfall explains the origin of its funny name.
Beautiful beeches, whose crowns intertwine high above your head, severe rocky ledges and boulders of huge size among the dense forest, turbulent waters and their soothing, calming noise — this picture mesmerizes anyone who sees it.
