FLY QUEST is an annual balloon festival, which takes place in the picturesque, valuable for healing springs Carpathian resort Skhodnitsa. The microclimate of Skhodnitsa, formed over the centuries, makes itself felt not only on the ground but also in the sky. Air currents, constantly walking Skhodnitsa sky, washing the mountain peaks and winding like a river through the valleys, attract teams of balloonists from all over Ukraine. Ballooning in Skhidnytsya is possible at any time of the year. Today Skhidnytsya is the only place in Ukraine where balloons fly in the mountains.
Brief description of the tournament. The balloon with the participants of the tournament on command starts. The pilot, having sorted out the winds, takes the desired direction. In 30-40 minutes after the start the pilot determines the possible place of landing of the balloon, in the best case closer to roads or settlements. After landing, the pilot sends his coordinates to the driver of the pick-up vehicle. The pick-up vehicle with other team members goes to the place where the balloon landed according to these coordinates. The driver’s task is to quickly find the balloon and return to the start. Important information for the FLYQUEST participant! The balloon ride can take an indefinite period of time. Therefore, you should be ready for a long, active vacation in the Carpathians. Clothing should be comfortable and warm!
