Balneological resorts of Ukraine amaze envious and competitors by the abundance of deposits and diverse chemical composition of their mineral waters. One of the best health resorts of the state of this plan is recognized Skhidnytsia.
It is a balneological resort of Ukraine, which is located in the south of Lviv region, surrounded by the ridges of the Skoliv Beskid. The town is located near Boryslav, next to Drohobych. From this settlement and its railway station our Ukrainian resort is separated by a distance of 10 km. Skhidnitsa and its sovereign are connected by regular shuttle buses.
Mineral waters of Skhidnytsya were formed in the intermountainous Oriev depression, as a result of collecting in it and infiltration of atmospheric precipitation into the depths. In underground cavities the liquid dissolved rocks and took away minerals useful for people. The peculiarity of the production process of the Skhodnitsa natural «factory» of mineral water was the presence of oil in the neighboring cavities. A part of hydrocarbons got into some underground reservoirs of future mineral waters of Skhidnytsya. Then bacteria took over, and the conditions of the pools in the Hades kingdom suited them very well. Over time, through the process of chemosynthesis, bacteria processed the water-oil «cocktail» and saturated it with organic substances.
Taking into account that the process of formation of mineral waters of Skhodnitsa began not today, not yesterday and not at the beginning of XX century, but several million years ago, along with the Alpine epoch of mountain formation, then during this time the liquid had time to accumulate a lot of useful substances: sodium and chlorine, chlorides and hydrocarbonates, iron. In total, this resort of Ukraine received from nature 38 springs and 17 wells of healing liquid. They produce about 100 cubic meters of mineral medicine per day, for the sake of which doctors and prescribe their patients rest in Skhidnytsya.
In almost all local sanatoriums oral consumption of mineral waters of Skhidnytsya is accompanied by underwater massages, therapeutic baths, applications of ozokerite and a series of physiotherapeutic procedures. But the main actors in this Ukrainian resort are still its underground waters, which «escaped» voluntarily or were released by people from the dark kingdom of Hades.
There are four main types of mineral waters of Skhidnytsya:
To the first type belong weakly mineralized waters similar to Truskavetska «Naftusa». These are springs No. 8 and 9, 10 and 25, as well as the first and eighteenth wells, which have a noticeable choleretic effect. Springs No. 1, 3 and 26 have an increased content of organic matter obtained as a result of bacterial life processes. This mineral water of Skhodnitsa is used for the treatment of urolithiasis, chronic problems of bile ducts and excretory system, pyelonephritis and diathesis.
The second type is weakly mineralized water, in which an increased amount of iron is recorded: source #13 and 15. Such a liquid successfully copes with anemia, chronic diseases of the digestive system and levels the manifestations of radiation sickness.
The third group «gained» in the underground halls of sodium ions, chlorine and bromine. Such sources of mineral water in Skhidnytsya are the majority. They are used for the prevention of potential diseases of digestive and excretory systems, as well as in diseases of the nervous system of non-genetic nature.
The fourth water is a liquid of «Borjomi» type. It is brought to the surface from well No. 2. It is designed to restore the balance of acid-alkaline environment of the stomach, is an indispensable assistant in the fight of those who came on vacation in Skhidnytsia with their ulcers. Pancreatitis, colitis, gastritis are favorite rivals and victims of water from well No. 2.
Mineral waters of Skhodnitsa are a resource that is more expensive than gold deposits or diamondiferous pipes.
