Miskhor is considered one of the most exquisite resorts on the southern coast of Crimea. Such an image is favored by the location of this settlement between the titans of the Ukrainian tourist industry — Alupka and Yalta with Livadia. The elite status of Miskhor is confirmed by the reigning climate here, the warmest, sunniest and mildest in the whole South Coast, as well as the presence of a number of outstanding attractions. The local ropeway, for example, has already been entered into the «Guinness Book of Records». And the fact that P.N. Romanov’s palace «Dulber» or villa «Barbo» have not yet been included in the UNESCO heritage list can only be explained by the fact that the staff of this UN structural unit has not yet «discovered» Crimea.
One of them, not fully appreciated by the world community, is Miskhora Park. True, it received the title of «monument of garden and park art» under the Soviet Union, but it is clearly not enough to protect the unique cultural biocenosis from the encroachments of the nouveau riche and local businessmen.
Miskhor Park stretches a narrow strip between the sea and Ai-Petri yaila. Its area is 21.3 hectares, which slightly exceeds the territory of the state of Monaco, which includes 3 cities — Monaco proper, Monte Carlo and La Condamigne. Crimean monument of garden and park art decorated the local embankment at the end of the XVIII century. It is associated with the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula to Russia under the name of Tavricheskaya Gubernia in 1784. In the newly formed Alushta parish of Yalta district with pleasure, like waves on the local shore, swarmed Russian, not poor nobility — Golitsyns, Meshcherskys, Naryshkins. They turned the Tatar village of Miskhor, which had 24 yards, 160 inhabitants and one mosque, into a kind of Muslim paradise on Earth — green parks and gardens, luxurious palaces and fountains, generously scattering water drops.
An important caveat: Princes Golitsyns and noblemen Naryshkins, who gave Russia half of Peter the Great’s genome, did not themselves plant pistachio trees and lay out park alleys. The projects of transforming the former subtropical forest into a cultivated floristic Paradise belonged to Italian architects. They tried to fit the owners’ villas into the delightful landscape of the coast, at the same time transforming the «Crimean Rublevka» into a single massif, suitable for the unmarred promenades of luminaries.
Thus, the usual blackthorn, hawthorn, juniper, small-fruited strawberry and Crimean frankincense were uprooted and replaced by Arizona and Guadalupe cypresses, bamboo, palms and oleanders. And the laconic and modest biocenoses composed around the Crimean pine were diluted with garish Coulter pines, Italian olives, pyramidal cypresses, magnolia and Fortune trachycarpus. Under the Babylonian willow the fountain «Lily» was placed, and on one of the open areas, already in our century, a fashionable «singing and dancing» fountain was erected.
One of the sections of Miskhora Park is dedicated to the pre-Russian past of the village. One of the natural stone walls of the park was reinforced with processed pieces of rock laid out in the form of masonry. 
A Tatar girl stands at the wall, drawing water. Behind her peeks, like a black raven, an old robber man. This is the famous fountain sculpture «Arzy’s Girl and Ali Baba the Bandit», made by Estonian Amandus Adamson. The famous Baltic master, vacationing in Miskhora, was so shocked by the local story about the Tatar beauty stolen by Ali Baba and sold by him to the Turkish harem that he created and installed this sculptural group on the territory of the park for his own money.
The continuation of the story about Arzy was a bronze monument «Rusalka», put by the same Adamson on a stone in the sea. The fact is that the Crimean beauty did not want to live in the Istanbul harem, and when she gave birth to a child, threw herself together with him into the sea. Naturally, she swam to her native shores, but could not get out of the water. That is why she is standing in the sea, tiredly holding on to a boulder, admiring her favorite shore and luxurious park from afar.
Thousands of people flock to rest in Miskhor. They are attracted by the luxurious climate, warm sea and the possibility of living in sanatoriums, located in the former palaces of the Russian nobility. Almost all health resorts are surrounded by Miskhor Park, so the views from their windows give guests the illusion of staying in an earthly branch of Paradise, only Crimean.
