The sights of Kosovo, considered the heart of the Hutsul land, attract tourists from all over the country and abroad to this small town. At any time of the year, those who want to have an interesting and exciting vacation come here, but the most visitors in Kosovo can be seen every year in late August, when one of the most famous Ukrainian festivals — the International Hutsul Festival — takes place here.
The International Hutsul Folklore and Ethnographic Festival has been held every year since 1991, gathering thousands of guests from all corners of the Hutsul region and from a variety of cities and countries, including Russia, USA, Canada, Estonia, Romania, Poland, Croatia, Slovakia, and Moldova.

During the festival in Kosovo you can truly immerse yourself in the interesting world of the Carpathian mountaineers, who are famous as talented masters of folk crafts and folk music art. Exhibitions, fairs, performances of music, dance and theater groups, master classes in various arts and crafts — the festival program is varied and exciting.
The musical direction of the festival deserves special attention, within the framework of which there are competitive performances of choral groups, orchestras of folk instruments, soloists-instrumentalists on folk Hutsul musical instruments and vocal ensembles. No less interesting are the performances of folklore and ethnographic groups, amateur theaters, reciters-declamators, humorists and dance groups. Every year the most talented participants of the festival are determined in five nominations (choral art, choreography, folk instruments, acting and instrumental music). The festival guests participate with great interest in various Hutsul folk amusements and contests, and attend sporting events where Hutsul strongmen perform.

Having visited the festival, you can fully experience the originality of Hutsul art, see a lot of interesting and memorable things and get the brightest impressions. The works of wood, leather, metal, ceramics and wool created by Hutsul craftsmen are of great interest and artistic value — not without reason Kosovo Bazaar is considered to be the most famous souvenir market in Ukraine! At the festival, Hutsul art is presented by both folk craftsmen and professional artists.
All those who spend their holiday in Kosovo during the festival, these few days leave the most vivid impressions. Seeing the works of masters and artists, hearing the musical and song art of the Hutsuls, it becomes obvious why the rich cultural heritage of this people should be protected, preserved and maintained. The International Hutsul Folklore and Ethnographic Festival in the town of Kosovo — a famous attraction of the Carpathians — is a bright and interesting event, which is definitely worth visiting for everyone who is interested in the culture and art of different peoples of the world.
