Khmelnitsky Regional Art Museum

The building of Khmelnitsky Regional Art Museum is one of the oldest in the city. It was built in 1903 and has survived to this day, despite the war and hard times, when many of the most important landmarks of Khmelnitsky were destroyed.

Therefore, you can visit the Khmelnitsky Art Museum not only because of the interest in the exposition, but also to see one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings of the city. It used to house a bank, and the art gallery moved into the building in 1986.

Here is the museum’s own collection called «Sviy shlyah, sviy povody», where you can see works of modern Ukrainian painting. Another exhibition — «Ukrainian Folk Icons» — is no less interesting. Many works have a bright national coloring.

In total, the collection of Khmelnitsky Regional Art Museum contains about 8 thousand works of art by 40 contemporary artists.
