The purpose of International Festival-Competition «Zvezdnaya Palmyra» is the development and education of talented young people by art and the establishment of creative contacts between children’s groups at International Festivals-Competitions.
The main objectives of the festival:
— Revival, preservation and development of national cultures and strengthening international cooperation on their basis;
— Presentation of the best children’s art collectives, establishment of creative contacts between them, exchange of experience with talented youth of the countries — participants of festivals;
— Creation of conditions for support and development of children’s and youth creativity;
— Involvement of leading specialists in the field of culture and art;
— Raising the level of professional skills of the heads of creative teams and performers.
Children and youth groups and soloists of different types of art are invited to participate in the festival, such as: choreographic groups of folk, ballroom, pop and modern dance, folklore groups, choral groups, vocal ensembles and soloists, instrumentalists, children’s fashion theaters, representatives of fine arts and arts and crafts. Children and teenagers aged 5 to 21 years and older take part in the festivals.
The main founder and organizer of the forum is the International Charitable Foundation for Support and Development of Children’s Creativity «Happy Children».

The festival is held at the recreation center «Zagar» — from the Black Sea coast, in the first line, in the ecologically clean resort area Zatoka (Karolino-Bugaz), on the unique sandy Karolino-Bugaz spit, washed from the south by the Black Sea, and from the north — the fresh waters of the Dniester estuary, 50 km from Odessa. Clean sea and a mixture of steppe and sea air will give vacationers a charge of health. Due to its unique climatic conditions, this sandy spit has always been considered an elite place of rest. And the air rich in iodine content, the sun, the microclimate of the estuary, magnificent sandy beaches of white sea sand containing quartz, phosphorus, iodine compounds, sea salts — all this in combination contributes to a full-fledged rest and recovery of people.
