The boundaries of the park extend 29 kilometers from northwest to southeast and 20 kilometers from northeast to southwest, and its area is 32.2 thousand hectares.
Gorgany Reserve was founded in 1996 in the western part of Nadvornyansky district of Ivano-Frankivsk region near Dovbushanka mountain.
The Verkhovyna National Nature Park was established in 2010 by the order of the President of Ukraine V. Yushchenko, and in October 2011 the protected area was marked on the map of the country.
Fans of hiking tourism, who want to see the tract of Petrichila, can stay in the tourist shelter of the same name, located near the village of Prokurava.
It is a fantastic place with rich and diverse nature. Here you can see mountains piercing the blue sky, mirrors of high-mountain lakes, valleys mesmerized by the riot of colors, noisy waterfalls and other unique natural objects that will leave the most vivid impressions.
The reserved tract of Lebedin is a part of the national park "Hutsulschina" and belongs to the Sheshora nature conservation research department of the park.
