On March 28, 2012, the next International Hotel&Restaurant Expo took place in Kiev. This project is aimed at the development and improvement of services in the hotel and restaurant business. Its organizers are Premier Expo (Ukraine) and ITE Group Pl (UK).
According to the results of the exhibition the Council of Tourism and Resorts of Ukraine (the main task of this non-profit organization is the formation of a developed tourism market in our country) made a list of the 100 best hotels in Ukraine in 2012.
The contest was attended by hotels from all over the country: both large facilities, which are part of well-known international chains such as Premier International and Reikartz Hotels & Resorts, and small private hotels, where you can hire a room inexpensively.
Representatives of leading tour operators, heads of tourist associations and other professionals of the tourist and hotel business acted as an expert commission. To select the best hotels, a huge amount of work was done. The quality of rooms, staff work, food service, infrastructure, original and non-standard concepts were evaluated. Compared to last year, this list has been updated by about 20 percent.
In the golden hundred got:
— Kiev — 15 hotels
— Lviv region — 13 hotels
— Crimea — 12 hotels
— Donetsk region — 6 hotels
— Kharkiv region — 4 hotels
Summarizing the results it should be noted that such events have a positive impact on the hotel business in Ukraine, as striving to enter the TOP 100 hotels improve the scope of their services and offer innovative ideas.
