Both Crimea and Montenegrin Riviera are very similar, as they were able to offer the average citizen for relatively small money warm sea, lots of sunshine and fruits.
Since the Soviet times we all know that Crimea is an all-union health resort. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the peninsula belonged to the independent Ukraine, but still remained a favorite vacation spot for compatriots.
After the collapse of Yugoslavia, our tourists, first one by one, and then in noisy companies, began to explore the Montenegrin Riviera — the former all-union health resort of the defunct Socialist Federal Yugoslavia.
And Crimea and Montenegrin Riviera are very similar, because they were able to offer the average citizen for relatively small money warm sea, lots of sunshine and fruits.
Going on vacation to one of these places, a person is first of all guided by the thought of what is cheaper?
On the one hand, the chicken is not a bird — Crimea is not abroad, and on the other hand — prices for vacation in Montenegro are in the same range with the Crimean. So what to choose?
If you are interested in relaxing on the beach, visiting seaside attractions and the opportunity to admire mountain landscapes — tours to Montenegro are just what you need.
If you want not just to lie on the beach and eat boiled corn, it is better to choose Crimea, where it will be easier for a Russian compatriot to go on a mountain hike or go on a trip on a bicycle.
Of course, the same can be done in Montenegro. Favor roads and nature allow. But, not everyone is ready to overcome the language barrier. And it will appear as soon as you go 40-60 kilometers from the Riviera inland. The local population almost does not know English, while in the Crimea there will be no such problem. On the other hand, a trip to the mountains of Montenegro is a great exotic compared to the Crimea. It is up to you to choose.
As for everyday life, and here and there we see the formation of capitalism with a human face for every taste and, most importantly, purse. The most popular in Montenegro are apartments. Almost every resident of seaside towns, towns, villages, hamlets, farms — rent an apartment. The same thing we observe in the Crimea. Prices and assortment are almost identical. From the «grandmother’s version» to apartments on the scale of a private cottage.
Hotels are next. The picture is the same here, but in Crimea they are slightly more expensive.
But from sanatoriums and resorts in Montenegro remained only memories — they disappeared immediately after the death of Tito and the collapse of Yugoslavia. In Crimea, however, they continue to function at quite affordable prices to this day.
As a result, we can conclude that visiting Crimea or Montenegro is a purely personal decision and everything in this matter depends only on you.
